" My family has always made wine. To hear it from my father Carmine, these were not fancy wines; they were everyday wines, wines that were on the dinner table each night. Our Rosso & Bianco are made in the same spirit – wines for everyday life. great Francis Ford Coppola wines in Sonoma County." Francis Ford Coppola

2011 Rosso & Bianco Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Rosso & Bianco wines have always been very special to us. Not only do they pay tribute to our family’s heritage, they’re some of the first wines we ever created. As a way of honoring this beloved brand, we designed a new work-of-art for the label.

Our 2011 debut of Rosso & Bianco Cabernet Sauvignon offers a warm palate with supple tannins for just the right amount of structure, and a bright acidity that enhances food pairings. Well-balanced with lush, ripe fruit flavors and oak aged for 12 months, our Cabernet Sauvignon

Winemaker's Notes

  • Our Cabernet is grown primarily in Lodi and Solano County where warm sunny days give way to cool evenings. This temperature differential slows the ripening process, which allows the grapes to gain more dimension, and achieve an ideal balance of ripe fruit character and natural acidity.
  • To enhance the richness of our Rosso & Bianco Cabernet Sauvignon we blend in 20% Petite Sirah. Not only does this contribute weight and body, it adds flavor complexity by way of spice nuances and impressions of dark fruit.
  • 2011 was a long, cool vintage with smaller than normal yields. The benefit of having less fruit on the vines is that the grapes develop more intense aromatics. And because the grapes experienced longer hang-time as well, our Cabernet Sauvignon offers beautiful concentration, fully ripe flavors, and smooth supple tannins that provide character and structure.
